Previewer Luke Lawrie writes, "As I stare off into the distance down a dark underground tunnel, a powerful scream echoes through my headphones as it bounces its way down the subway walls. The other rangers in my group frantically swing their flashlights toward the noise, but the blackness of the tunnel overwhelms the light; nothing can be seen. Suddenly, a shadowy creature miraculously appears in the middle of the team, as if it was there all along. This will not end well. This is only the beginning of my first 3 hours with Metro: Last Light."

In Soviet Russia, games play you! Hahahahano. The reason Im digging up this ancient meme is because Im going to talk about Metro: Last Light. M:LL is the sequel to Metro 2033, based on the (incredible) book of the same name by Dmitry Glukhovsky. That game is coming out this week, and Deep Silver is not getting a cent of my money.

| The Drop: Week of May 13th 2013 New Releases
Added: 13.05.2013 0:00 | 1 views | 0 comments
It is the year 2034. Beneath the ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro, the remnants of mankind are besieged by deadly threats from outside – and within.
Mutants stalk the catacombs beneath the desolate surface, and hunt amidst the poisoned skies above. But rather than stand united, the station-cities of the Metro are locked in a struggle for the ultimate power, a doomsday device from the military vaults of D6. A civil war is stirring that could wipe humanity from the face of the earth forever. As Artyom, burdened by guilt but driven by hope, you hold the key to our survival – the last light in our darkest hour in Metro: Last Light on PSN and PS3 Blu-ray. Enjoy this week’s The Drop.
